The Middle School & High School groups of three churches are loading up a yellow school bus with all of their camping gear and heading to the beach at the dunes for the weekend. We just want to make summer last as long as possible. Friends are welcome.

The cost is $30 and includes your meals, transportation and camping cost. Please eat dinner before you arrive on Friday.

2010 Model for Youth Ministry at FBC

Now that everyone is getting ready – ready to restart school, sporting events, extracurricular activities, studying, hanging out with friends, watching favorite television shows – don’t forget that we’re getting ready too! We’ve pushed the restart button for the fall and we have a whole new program design for Youth Ministries!

For the past couple of years, middle school and high school aged students have been a part of the same activities and Bible study on Sunday nights. Beginning October 10th, both groups will typically meet in the Youth Lounge together at 6pm on Sunday nights for snacks, games, a group lesson and a time of musical worship and/or skits. Afterwards, grades 7 & 8 will meet in the Junior High room for an age appropriate conversation and lesson about the topic presented in the larger group and the High School students will do the same in The Pit.

It is our (staff & Volunteer staff) hope that through media, music, activity and small groups that each age group will gain the information they need to understand the Bible study topic at their own level.

If you would like to be a part of this ministry behind the scenes, please contact Katy Mann 966.2609. We also have an opening of need for a once or twice a month middle school small group leader.

If you would like to get your middle school or high school student involved, September 19th we have a kick off bonfire at church.
